Unbreakable:

This is one of the best films that I have seen in a long time.  Not only does the director do a good job with the characters but the characters seem to work together nicely.  This might have something to do with the fact that Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson worked well together in Die Hard 3.  So, it might have been Bruce's push that got Jackson the role in the movie to begin with.  Opening with the immediate train ride and jumping into the story the viewer is informed immediately of what the movie is about.  Mysterious events transpiring around, and involving, a character who seems to possess extraordinary powers.  That always seems to be the theme of movies that make a killing at the box office.  Whether the person possess superhuman strength or superhuman senses of insight.  Although, this film doesn't seem to be doing as well as it could.  I give it the two, three and four thumbs up.  It is a bit slow at times so this might cause the ordinary viewer with a low attention span to become quickly hypnotized by his/her own insecurities and become overwhelmed by their inept and simplistic lives.  Or maybe they just have a different opinions.  The story fades into and out of a reality that controls the character.  A person coming to terms with who he is and what he's all about.  A good and a bad or good character and a bad character whichever way you choose to label the film it does a good job.  It had a bit of a pulp fiction twang to it at times so I have to wonder if the director used some old ideas and just updated them.  Wills played the good guy and Jackson played the bad one, which we happen to find out in the last two minutes of the film.  As for character development I think Willis, as much as he trys to grow in his films, has a hard time but is working towards perfection he wanted back in the days of  Moonlighting.  Jackson on the other hand, who always seems to do a good job at being a bit eccentric, plays his part.  The two work off each other nicely, and with a little bit of lights camera and action the film has a place.  The movie teaches some important lessons which are: sometimes when trying to find something that doesn't need to be found you pay a price, love is there when you believe that it is and stronger then any other instinct,  there are people who are born physically different because they just are and sometimes god is neutral.  Go see this film.
